The Spring Wave

South Shore Youth Rowing: An �??Away�?? Event

At Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Vergennes , VT
Saturday, June 3, 2006

All-day round-robin-styles races with VT and ME youth crews

DETAILS

•  Open to all High School Age Rowers (9 th grade and up).

•  Depart Friday, June 2, at 12 noon from the Windmill Point Boathouse (HLMI will provide one 15-person van, but if parents chose to participate and drive, they are welcome.)

•  HLMI will provide at least two adult chaperones, Ed McCabe and Beth Howard. Other HLMI coaches are anticipated to participate as well.

•  We will be camping out in our host's house, so participants will need to provide sleeping bags.

•  Our hosts will provide food �?? but participants must bring water bottle and snacks.

•  This is an overnight trip, so a change of clothes and toiletries should be remembered! (You will want an extra pair of dry shoes and extra socks.)

•  Return Saturday, June 3, by 8 pm (will call from the road with exact return time).

•  $20 per person race fee.

TO PARTICIPATE:

•  Contact the museum by Friday, May 26 to commit to being part of the crew. Those who miss this deadline may n ot be able to participate!

•  Let us know if you will be traveling with the museum ( i n the van) or on your own.

•  Be able to depart the South Shore at 12 noon on Friday, June 2.
