Hull Lifesaving Museum at the Point Allerton U.S. Lifesaving Station

The headquarters of the Hull Lifesaving Museum is located at the Point Allerton U.S. Life-Saving Station in Hull, MA. The museum exhibits are open to the public year round.

From Boston:
Take Southeast Expressway South to Route 3 South. Follow Rte. 3 South to Exit 14 for Route 228 (Rockland/Nantasket). Take a left off the exit ramp and follow Rte. 228 into Hull where it becomes Nantasket Avenue. Follow Nantasket Avenue (ocean on your right) for approximately 5 miles, about a seven-minute drive through t own . After crossing a narrow isthmus, bear right at the distinctly modern Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Museum, a green clap board building with cream trim and a deep red shingle roof directly facing Boston Light, will be the first building on your left.
Approximate travel time from Boston: 1 hour and 10 minutes.

From the South:
Take Route 3 North to Exit 14 for Route 228 (Rockland/Nantasket). Take a right off the e xit ramp and follow Rte. 228 into Hull where it becomes Nantasket Avenue. Follow Nantasket Avenue (ocean on your right) for approximat ely 5 miles, about a seven-minute drive through town. The Maritime Program

The museum's Maritime Program operates three sites, one in Hull and two in Boston, that offer year round programming for youths and adults.

Windmill Point Boathouse (Hull) is the base of our South Shore Maritime Program and the Seaport Boathouse at the Marine Industrial Park in South Boston, 22 Drydock Avenue, houses the Boston-based maritime programs.

From the North via I-93:
Heading southbound on Interstate 93 towards Boston, take Exit 22 - South Station. Pass through two sets of lights; at the top of the exit ramp, take the first left onto Summer Street. Follow Summer Street eastbound; proceed on Summer Street for approximately 1.25 miles. Turn left onto Drydock Avenue, into the Marine Industrial Park. We are located at 22 Drydock Avenue. Please park in the parking garage at 20 Drydock Avenue, directly across from the entrance to Black Falcon Avenue.

From the South via I-93:
Heading northbound on Interstate 93 towards Boston, take Exit 20, which will be immediately after Exit 18. Follow the signs to "I-90 East" and take the "South Boston" exit. At the top of the ramp, proceed straight onto East Service Road. Turn right onto Congress Street. Pass the Seaport Hotel on your left, and bear right onto D Street. At the first set of lights turn left onto Summer Street. Turn left onto Drydock Avenue, into the Marine Industrial Park. We are located at 22 Drydock Avenue. Please park in the parking garage at 20 Drydock Avenue, directly across from the entrance to Black Falcon Avenue.

From the West via Massachusetts Turnpike:
Follow the Massachusetts Turnpike/Interstate 90 East to Exit 25 - South Boston. At the top of the ramp take a left, and then take the first right onto Congress Street. Pass the Seaport Hotel on your left, and bear right onto D Street. At the first intersection, turn left onto Summer Street. Turn left onto Drydock Avenue into the Marine Industrial Park. We are located at 22 Drydock Avenue. Please park in the parking garage at 20 Drydock Avenue, directly across from the entrance to Black Falcon Avenue.

From Logan International Airport and Route 1A South:
Follow the signs towards I-90 West - Ted Williams Tunnel. Take the Ted Williams Tunnel to Exit 25. At the top of the ramp take a right onto Congress Street. Pass the Seaport Hotel on your left, and bear right onto D Street. At the first intersection, turn left onto Summer Street. . Turn left onto Drydock Avenue, into the Marine Industrial Park. We are located at 22 Drydock Avenue. Please park in the parking garage at 20 Drydock Avenue, directly across from the entrance to Black Falcon Avenue.

By Public Transportation or Shuttle Bus:
MBTA provides bus service (#3 and #6) to the Seaport District from South Station; the bus will stop in front of the Boston Design Center on Drydock Avenue. We are located on the left hand side, 1 block past the stop at 22 Drydock Avenue. In addition, the nearest T stop is South Station on the Red Line. Joseph's Limousine operates a shuttle bus from Dorchester Avenue (behind the Federal Reserve Bank), across the street from South Station. The shuttle operates from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday. Detailed schedules are available at South Station.
