Gateway Project Graduation of the Hull Lifesaving Museum

On Friday, 18 young men and women will be recognized for the strides they have made working their way from society’s fringes back into the mainstream.  The Hull Lifesaving Museum will celebrate the completion of it’s 20th year of job-skills training programs for adjudicated young Bostonians with a graduation ceremony at 11:30am, August 20 at the museum’s new urban site, the Seaport Boatshop located at 22 Drydock Avenue in the Seaport District.  The museum operated The Gateway Project (a specialized program run in close partnership with the Department of Youth Services) out of the National Park in Charlestown Navy Yard from 1985 through 2003.  The museum relocated its city-based programs in late June 2004, and now operates its classrooms, a fully equipped urban boatshop, and fleet of large, traditional rowing boats out of downtown Boston’s new Seaport District.  For more information, please contact the Hull Lifesaving Museum at 781-925-5433 or see our website, www.lifesavingmuseum.org
