Please note there will be no lecture the week of the July 4th holiday. Norma Jane Langford, China BeachThursday, August 3, 7 p.m. After finding a number of interesting pottery shards on local beaches, Norma Jane Langford became interested in the shards, and how they came to be so numerous in certain areas. The shards themselves offer clues to their origins-white ware from before 1830, a salt-glazed stoneware British Ginger Beer bottle from the 1860s, candlesticks made in South Boston or Sandwich. Come hear how Norma Jane Langford identifies her finds, and what her research has revealed. Bring your own favorite finds to share!
